Best Brand April Fools’ Day Jokes

We love April Fools’ Day jokes. Who doesn’t love a good natured attempt to make someone laugh? Individuals aren’t the only ones getting in on the April Fools’ joke action. Brands are showing that they, too, have a sense of humor. Here are some of our favorite brand April Fools’ Day pranks this year.

Museum of Modern Art
According to a tweet, MOMA is opening up its membership to the furrier members of the family. We’re actually pretty sad that this is a joke – who says our pets can’t enjoy fine art?

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory
Love a good prank call? So does this Minnesota zoo, which set up prank phone lines for Mr. Lion, Ms. Ella Fint, Mr. Wolf, and Ms. Anna Conda so that people can prank their friends and family with a nice call from a furry – or slithery – zoo resident.

Bill Clinton
Oh, Bill. What a prankster. Bill Clinton changed his Twitter account to parody his wife, Hillary Clinton’s, Twitter account photo, which sparked the “texts from Hillary” meme. We also love the caption.

Virgin America and Nest
Virgin America and Nest (which was recently acquired by Google) partnered together to prank consumers with new “climate control” options on Virgin America planes. The fictional climate control has three settings: Cancun Afternoon, Standard Day in Los Angeles, and Chicago Polar Vortex.

American Eagle
The brand known for its popular teen clothes got in on April Fools’ Day by announcing a new sub-brand: American Beagle Outfitters. Direct from the press release: “Designed to perfectly match their owner’s on-trend American Eagle wardrobe, the canine collection features must-haves such as slimming doggy jeggings, fur-friendly bikinis and statement accessories, creating head-to-tail looks that complement the unique style and personality of every pooch, big or small.”

Google
Of course, no April Fools’ Day is complete without Google’s “fake” product launch. This year, Google announced the launch of #Hoffsome, a way for Google+ users to automatically make their photos cooler by inserting a David Hasselhoff photobomb. Nice.
